Come help us plant a tree in honor of World Champion Boxer Emile Griffith; celebrating his legacy and our commitment to the environment.

In light of the current crisis facing Haiti, we will be raising donations to support relief efforts in the Caribbean Sea region, a native place to Emile Griffith.

Explore the history and beautiful grounds of St. Michael’s on a guided walking tour. Enjoy live music and a BBQ to commemorate the special day.

About Emile Griffith

Emile Griffith was a professional boxer from the U.S. Virgin Islands who held the world light middleweight, undisputed welterweight, and middleweight titles. His best-known contest was a 1962 title match with Benny Paret. Griffith won the bout by knockout. In 1963 and 1964, Griffith was voted Fighter of the Year by The Ring magazine and the Boxing Writers Association of America. Griffith currently ranks #127 in BoxRec’s ranking of the greatest pound for pound boxers of all time. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990.
