Honoring Two Grounds Workers on Their Retirement

This summer we bid a heartfelt farewell to two valued members of our grounds team who have been with us for over 30 years.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ray Mancini on his well-earned retirement after 34 years of dedicated service. Ray joined our cemetery in 1991 as a skilled construction professional and began working almost immediately as a foreman. Over the years, he became a trusted go-to for projects requiring precision and expertise. From helping build the office extension to countless other improvements across our grounds, Ray’s impact can be seen throughout the cemetery. We are grateful for his craftsmanship, problem-solving mindset, and years of commitment. Wishing you all the best in this next chapter, Ray!

We proudly recognize Chris Dezarlo as he retires after an impressive 40-year career of service and dedication. Chris began as a seasonal grounds worker in 1985 and became a full-time employee in 1987. From the start, his reliability, strong work ethic, and attention to detail stood out. He held several key roles over the years—including lawn care, foreman, and ultimately a valued member of the tech crew, where he remained until his retirement.

Chris became a trusted expert in foundations, electrical work, and plumbing. His knowledge, steady presence, and commitment to quality have left a lasting mark on the cemetery. We thank Chris for his many contributions and wish him nothing but the best as he begins this new chapter.
