Remember Me 9/11 Memorial Tribute & Run/Walk
Honoring 25 Years of Remembrance
On September 12, 2026, St. Michael’s Cemetery welcomed members of our community for the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 Memorial Tribute and Remember Me 2-Mile Run/Walk.
Twenty-five years after the tragic events of September 11, 2001, we came together to remember and honor the lives that were lost. Whether participants came to honor a loved one, pay tribute to the thousands who perished, or simply stand together in remembrance, everyone who joined us became part of a very special community united by remembrance, respect, and hope.
The afternoon included a moving ceremony featuring the FDNY Ceremonial Unit, which graciously presented our nation’s flags. Guests were also honored by a beautifully performed National Anthem by an FDNY firefighter, creating a powerful and meaningful opening to the day’s events.
The celebration continued with a children’s Fun Run and our adult 2-Mile Run/Walk. Participants of all ages crossed the finish line to receive a commemorative medal, while awards were presented to the top three male and female finishers in the adult race.
Following the run, guests were invited to continue the afternoon together with our memorial tribute and program. Complimentary ice cream was also enjoyed by our guests, adding a special and family-friendly touch to the day.
Most importantly, the event gave our community an opportunity to come together, remember, and honor the victims of September 11th. We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, donated, or simply came out to stand with us.
